“Personal guidance in the college search and application process”

The services I provide at Admission Accomplished are wide and varied, but will always be specifically geared to the strengths, interests, and goals of the individual student. They include, but are not limited to the following:

 

• Guidance with your academic portfolio; create a four-year high school plan for the courses and extracurriculars that help you become the well-rounded student colleges prize the most
• Administration of personality and interest testing
• Student/parent questionnaires that identify preferences and priorities, i.e. desired location, size of student body, public or private, etc. Then, help match these preferences with the specific characteristics of colleges
• Provide student with important dates and timelines regarding SAT/ACT exams and prep courses
• Time management strategies
• Explanation of the college admission process and tools for mastering the admissions
• College essay brainstorming; how to choose topics and then infuse them with your personal stamp
• Create a list of colleges to visit during junior and senior year and prepare the student for these visits
• Help students assess the strengths and virtues of specific colleges to help narrow the field of application submissions
• Interview techniques
• Upon acceptance to more than one college, help the student decide which to choose
